What’s your price?

Most people have a price. They have a price because of emotions named ‘fear’ and ‘greed’. The fear of being without money motivates us to work hard and then once we get a pay check, greed or desire gets us thinking about all the things we could buy and have with that money!
From there, the pattern is set. The pattern of get up, go to work, get paid, pay bills, get up, go to work, get paid, pay bills. Paying bills before paying yourself. Working someone else’s business, making them rich. Fear and Greed; two emotions forever controlling peoples lives. Most think that a pay rise will solve financial problems but offer us more money and majority of us will continue the cycle by increasing spending. This is the ‘Rat Race.’
“The Rich don’t work for money, they have their money work for them.” – Rich Dad
For anyone who wants to get out of the ‘rat race’ they need to be aware of and focus on their emotions! Most will be in denial often saying ‘I’m not interested in money,’ yet they will continue working a job 8 hours a day, a job which they would never go to if it weren’t for the money. The main cause of poverty or financial struggle is fear and ignorance. Not the economy or the government, or the rich. It is self inflicted fear and ignorance that keeps people trapped.
I was in this exact position. This describes me in the past, down to a T! The day everything started changing for me was the day I started to read ‘Rich Dad Poor Dad’ by Robert T. Kiyosaki. Throughout his ‘Rich Dad’ series of books Robert teaches about investing and financial intelligence. Also ignorance. What I got out of his books changed my life for the better, giving me direction and the backing I needed to make the most of my undesirable professional position (at the time) and strive toward changing my own financial status, and claw my way from the ‘rat race.’
Check out Roberts ‘Rich Dad’ series, start with ‘Rich Dad Poor Dad’ – Rich Dad’s lessons are priceless!
Do you want out of the rat race?
